Ombré Glass Chair by Germans Ermics
Germans Ermičs, a Latvian designer, found inspiration in the iconic film “2001: A Space Odyssey” to craft the vibrant Ombré Glass Chair.
These chairs are constructed from glass panes assembled seamlessly without the use of visible screws or fittings. Ermičs opted for simple geometric shapes, allowing him to experiment with a spectrum of colors in varying shades. Through an innovative pigmentation process, he achieves stunning and minimalist pieces of top-tier design.
In addition to the chairs, the Ombré collection includes curved glass screens. One version features clashing gradients of pink, orange, blue, and green in a taller screen, while a smaller screen showcases a fade from pastel pink to orange. This technique’s adaptability enables the designer to produce customized pieces in a myriad of colors and sizes.
