MOON Lunar Globe by Oscar Lhermitte & Kudu

French designer Oscar Lhermitte teamed up with London-based design studio Kudu to develop MOON, a meticulously crafted lunar globe that accurately depicts the topography of the Moon and showcases its current phases in real-time.

MOON stands out as the most precise lunar globe available, leveraging NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter topographic data. This data is seamlessly integrated with advanced electronic and mechanical engineering, complemented by meticulous craftsmanship in mold making.

The collaboration between design, technology, science, and art culminates in the creation of MOON, offering enthusiasts and scholars alike an immersive and educational experience of Earth’s celestial companion.

Currently, the project is seeking funding for production through Kickstarter, inviting individuals to support the realization of this innovative endeavor.
