Wutopia Lab, an architecture studio based in Shanghai, showcases its innovative approach with the design of the Monologue Art Museum located in China.

The Monologue Museum is conceived as a dynamic journey akin to unfolding a hand scroll. Visitors are greeted with a modest entrance theater, where sunlight gently filters through the corners, setting the stage for the experience ahead. As visitors progress through the museum, they traverse an open corridor adorned with shifting lights, leading them to a serene water courtyard. Along the way, they encounter spaces such as the vibrant yoga room and the luminous art gallery, characterized by its exhibition and painting rooms filled with natural light.

As the journey continues, the atmosphere subtly shifts. The corridor narrows, and the illumination dims, creating a sense of intimacy and mystery. Here, visitors may almost overlook the hidden tearoom nestled behind a discreet wall, inviting them to pause and reflect amidst the museum’s unfolding narrative.
