Amazon has unveiled one of its largest fulfillment centers in India, strategically positioned in Malur Taluk, Kolar District, Karnataka. Boasting a storage capacity of 1.2 million cubic feet, this facility is dedicated to the storage of large appliances and furniture, catering to the burgeoning demand in the Indian market.

The inauguration of this colossal fulfillment center was conducted virtually, featuring notable dignitaries including B.S Yediyurappa, Chief Minister of Karnataka, along with Amit Agarwal, Senior Vice President, Amazon India, and Akhil Saxena, VP, Customer Fulfilment Operations, APAC, MENA & LATAM, Amazon India. This move underscores Amazon’s commitment to bolstering its presence in Karnataka, with plans for additional fulfillment centers totaling over four million cubic feet of storage space. Furthermore, the expansion aims to accommodate the needs of the state’s thriving e-commerce ecosystem, encompassing over 35,000 sellers and 140 Amazon-owned delivery stations.
